We headed west to the lake...
I shot these sunlit lines from the car
The road ends at the lake.
We were surprised to find the lake still covered in snow and ice, in mid April!
This rain flooded field makes a temporary abode for ducks...and provides beautiful symmetry for me. : )
As we head back home, this image beckons to be taken as the farmhouse on the hill catches the last rays of sunlight.
Whispy Waterville clouds...
Are these not the coolest Mare's Tails clouds? The common English name for a cirrus cloud is Mare's Tails since the long threads of cloud often resemble a horse's tail. Rumor has it that the horse tail clouds mean a change in the weather. It's warm, dry and sunny now so they may bring rain.
